Instructor Profile by Paul Shephard Born in 1959 I started Karate in 1978 after seeing "Enter The Dragon" and wanting to be "invincible" like Bruce Lee (he'd only been dead for four years!). Trained at Sensei Paul Perry's Enfield club at Chase boys school and Sensei Barry Shearer's Edmonton Dojo in the canteen where Sensei Shearer worked (I still have fond memories of sliding around on discarded chips and peas) until the two clubs merged at the current Enfield Dojo in Bullsmoor Lane. Took Shodan in 1983 under Kanazawa Sensei. Trained with Sensei Shearer and taught the children's classes at Enfield before leaving to start my own dojo in March 2002 - The Enfield Town Karate Club. Married with three children who all practise JSK karate. Other interests include walking, swimming and good food and wine. Karate career achievements to date: Individuals Kumite Winner
